Violence Prevention

The RLHEC offers two programs in the area of violence prevention: Stepping Towards Peace, which focuses on conflict resolution, and It's Not Cool to be Cruel, which helps young people to develop empathy and respect for others.

Domestic Violence

The RLHEC offers two programs in the area of domestic violence. The programs were developed with the Domestic Violence Network of Greater Indianapolis and funded by the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. The programs are two day programs with day one focusing on the components of unhealthy relationships and day two focusing on the components of healthy relationships. Students develop skills needed to break the cycle of violence. Students will also obtain resources needed to get out of unhealthy relationships or help a friend who might be in an unhealthy relationship.
