ABCs of First AidGrades 4–6Course DescriptionChildren learn and practice first aid for cuts, bruises, sprains and fractures. Several emergency situations are discussed and appropriate actions are demonstrated. Children learn how to put together a first-aid kit and talk about who needs to know first aid. Tornado safety, fire safety and first-aid treatment for burns are also addressed in the class. A brief video, interactive games and hands–on practice with simple first-aid procedures make this class a great learning experience. GoalChildren learn the importance of first aid in emergency situations. Objectives
