RLHEC CareersInternships
The Ruth Lilly Health Education Center has long prided itself on providing both an innovative and engaging experience to students of all ages. Although programming was originally designed with school-aged students in mind, the Center recognizes the importance of continued education and offers special opportunities to students interested in pursing a career in health education. Students from Ball State University, Indiana University, Indiana State University, Purdue University, and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale have worked closely with the staff at the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center to see that Hoosier students across Central Indiana receive an exciting and versatile health education. Aside from their work with numerous Central Indiana school corporations, interns are also included in partnerships between the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center and other organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, 4-H, and the YMCA. Internships are available to any undergraduate and/or graduate student pursuing a degree in community health, public health, school health education, or health promotion. Age requirements for the internship vary depending on the candidate, though students enrolled in their final year of study are often given priority. All intern candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university for consideration and must be familiar with the Seven Responsibilities and Competencies of Entry Level Health Educators to apply. Upon applying for an internship, an updated resume and cover letter must be available. EmploymentThank you for your interest in employment at the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center.
